FAQs

I talk on the phone a lot. Would that be a problem in the community space?

Mutual respect between our members makes CoLab work, and our community and space depend on it.. Taking a brief call at a desk in the community coworking space is perfectly acceptable, but if you think extended phone time is bothering others, consider taking the call elsewhere. We’ve got lounge area and conference rooms that may be open.

What kind of people work at CoLab?

Web designers, developers, marketers, telecommuters, small business owners, entreprenuers, writers, artists and educators all call CoLab home.  If you can work from anywhere, you can work at CoLab.

How long has CoLab been around?

The first CoLab started in Orlando in 2008, and the downtown Nashville location opened in early 2010. Learn more about our story.

Do you have receptionist services?

CoLab has an attendant at the front desk of the first-floor space during business hours Monday through Friday but we do not provide receptionist or phone services.

Will I have 24/7 access?

Access varies my membership level. Those with private offices receive 24/7 access. Hours for coworking spaces are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CoLab staff is available during the work week between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Where do I park?

We understand parking in downtown Nashville is a challenge. CoLab suggests two low-cost options:

The first is Park it Downtown – park at LP Field for free and take a shuttle into the downtown area for $25/month (we have a shuttle stop in front of the building). Also, the Public Square Garage at 4th and Deadrick St. gives CoLab members a discounted rate of $100/month.
