We launched CoLab Nashville in 2010 to bring our passion for coworking to Music City. We set out to create an environment that Nashville’s dynamic scene of startups, entrepreneurs and freelancers would want to call home: a place to stretch out, scale up and focus on doing their best work without all the distractions of a home office or the drama of corporate headquarters.
Since then CoLab has evolved into much more than a killer coworking environment where many of Nashville’s most promising companies have set up shop. It’s become a community in the truest sense of the word: the home base for a growing collective of Nashville professionals who’ve realized there’s much more to coworking than Wi-Fi, free printers and improved Ping-Pong skills.
The ‘more’ part is the strategic edge that comes from being a part of the CoLab community. ‘Networking’ isn’t a word you’ll hear very often around CoLab. That’s probably because it suggests doing something different. Like an activity. A chore. At CoLab, networking just happens. Members help each other out, shoot the breeze, exchange advice, consult informally, fill complementary strategic needs and even forge business partnerships.
The point is, work gets done, businesses grow, iron sharpens iron, and even the meekest table tennis neophytes can be molded into doubles-playing, backhand-slamming monsters over the green slab.
CoLab is proud to have become the communal hub for Nashville’s exploding entrepreneurial class. That means more than just tech startups and design firms. We’re Nashville’s go-to resource for emerging endeavors of every stripe – accountants to designers, coders to attorneys, artists to non-profits.
We’re always thinking about new and better ways we can do our part to help Nashville’s small business community keep thriving. Got an idea? Let us know.
If you think you or your company would fit in at CoLab, chances are we do too. Shoot us an email, give us a call, or drop by anytime to check out CoLab for yourself.
