CoLab Nashville: But Where Will I Park?
Working downtown in Nashville is just plain awesome.
You are in the busiest part of Music City, close to everything happening, have scores of great lunch choices and in general, experience some of the best parts of Nashville.
But where to park? Luckily, you’ve got multiple options, some of them very inexpensive.
Walking or riding your bike – Cost: Free
If you live in a nearby neighborhood, walking or riding your bike is a great option. We are close to the East Nashville/5 Points area, the trendy Gulch neighborhood and Germantown. We are also near many downtown apartment and condo buildings. Here are a few sample mileages:
Germantown – .9 miles from CoLab
The Gulch – 1.3 miles from CoLab
Five Points – 1.9 miles from CoLab
CoLab has a bike rack in the coworking and you can bring your bike into the office so it doesn’t sit outside all day while you work.
Riding the bus – Cost: Minimum
CoLab is a .2 mile, or 4-minute, walk from Music City Central Station. Buses also pass in front of the Wells Fargo building where we are and a block away on North 3rd Avenue. Nashville has brand new double-length and hybrid buses serving downtown and you may surprised at their cleanliness and timeliness.

Parking and walking – Cost: $25 a month
The best kept secret for downtown parking downtown is the partnership the city has with LP Field. L.P. Field offers $25 a month parking without a parking pass. It’s about a 20 minute walk to CoLab , though a free shuttle runs every 15 minutes from the parking lots to a range of downtown stops. One of the stops is right in front of CoLab and for many, this is a very affordable option.
If you move in mid-month, you can get your parking pass at the Nashville Downtown Partnership office located in the grey building on the corner of 4th and Commerce.
One downside is that on days when special event are held at or near L.P. Field, parking is not allowed. You will have to find alternate parking on these days.

Renting garage space – Cost: $100-$175 a month
If you want quick access to your car, renting a space in one of downtown’s many parking garages is a great option. CoLab works with several garages in the Downtown area and the public parking garage located on the corner of 4th and Deaderick offers a special CoLab rate of $100 a month. Parking must be arranged through CoLab to get this price.
The Wells Fargo building has an underground parking garage for $125 per month. There is a waiting list, and reaching the top could take several months, but from the garage you can take the elevator up to the first floor and CoLab.
Some parking garages, such as the one beneath the Wells Fargo building, better suit smaller cars. If you have a full-size truck or SUV, consider the Public Square parking garage two blocks away across from the courthouse. It charges $130 a month an has ample large vehicle parking and the customer service is excellent.
