Need An Awesome Internship Experience? Look No Further Than CoLab!

Untold numbers of students are trolling job websites and Craigslist ads in search of internships. The search can be grueling, with hit-or-miss results leaving students dissatisfied and no more skilled than when they began.
Thankfully, CoLab Nashville will offer an internship program to students this fall that is sure to leave them with an invaluable experience.
CoLab Nashville offers fall interns a chance to work with some of the best startups and other businesses in the area.
Our CoLab members, such as website design and digital marketing firm NoSleepForSheep and web developers KnpLabs, have teamed up to share their desks and knowledge with our interns in fields such as public relations, social media management and research. For students who want to learn as much as they can in a variety of fields, our internSHARE program offers the chance to work with up to three businesses.
And what better place to gain real experience than in a coworking space like CoLab Nashville? Coworking spaces are growing in popularity as professionals realize their many benefits: Flexibility, affordability and a chance to toss ideas around with other professionals in an informal but energetic environment. The work environment here encourages collaboration (it’s part of our name!), not to mention the fun we have working together each day under the same roof.
Interested? We thought so. Here’s a list of some of the things you’d be doing:
- Social media management and strategy
- Drafting and distributing press releases
- Building and updating media lists
- Writing for marketing collateral
- Research projects
- Administrative and organizational responsibilities as needed
We’re looking for incoming juniors and seniors with excellent writing skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, design backgrounds or any combination of the three. Have previous internship experience? Great! None yet? That’s OK. All we need are skills and enthusiasm.
